What Our Rockport Clients Have to Say About Us

“We were in a tough spot. Our Boston Terrier bit a neighbor’s hand while on a walk. Additionally, we were taking care of our one-week-old daughter. We didn’t know if we could keep him but decided to try Dog Coach. They were outstanding. He now walks properly on a leash and is much calmer around people. Crate training allowed us to have people over again. The training sessions were straightforward, consistent, and easy to learn. Can’t say enough good things about Dog Coach.”

– Lidija V.

“Sarah is amazing and was not only WILLING to help me start controlling my big rescue dog but has put me on the path to having a calm, controlled dog and a better relationship with both my dogs! The small victories mean so much and I know there are so many more to come!”

– Cecely R.

“My husband and I went to Dog Coach for e-collar training for our dog Enzo. The first lesson we learned how to crate train and just that alone was so incredibly helpful! Enzo quickly learned all of the basic commands and the handouts Sarah provided after each lesson really helped us reinforce what he had learned back at home. Most of all, I liked Sarah’s teaching style because it made ME feel more confident with training and walking. I highly recommend Dog Coach and we will definitely be back for some refresher trainings in the future!”

Dog Training Tip: Schedule Your Dog’s Mealtime

Buffets don’t help any dogs. And free feeding your dog can actually reinforce poor behavior. Our dog training programs work on managing mealtime behavior, which includes feeding your dog at a set time. Food is a powerful tool to train a respectful dog and waiting patiently for the food bowl is a key lesson dogs can learn quickly. Setting expectations around routines for your dog encompasses all aspects of household management, including mealtime. Dog Coach has a comprehensive approach to working with you to build a better relationship with your dog.
