What Boxford Dog Owners Say About Dog Coach: Reviews of Our Training
“Hi Sarah!!!!! Look at this! Buster – out of the yard and walking soooooo well with the stroller! This is like a dream come true! I followed exactly what you said to do with electric fence and he did SO amazing. A little hesitation but not much after I said “let’s go”. I’m soooo happy!!!
…and now the kids can walk Buster while they ride bikes & scooters! Sorry for all the texts but need you to know how amazing this training has been! My daughter is thrilled! There is a playground at the end of our street & he was there by my side the whole time! Thank you 🙌🏼”

Dog Training Tip: Barking at Guests
Barking at guests or people passing by is a common challenge many dog owners face. But the great news is that it’s fixable. Even before starting to train, there are a few things you can do to stop the barking.
- Crate training: proper crate training assigns your dog a job regardless of where you are and what you’re doing. Dogs are den animals and using a crate properly can help cut down on barking by training calmness.
- Leash on in the house: feeling like your dog is out of control in the house? Keeping a drag leash on in the house while you’re home allows you to pick up the leash and correct for barking. If you have house guests, it puts you in the position of leadership and gives you a way to manage and communicate with your dog.
Remote collar: Excessive barking gets really tiring. The first two tips are fundamental to our training. But if you’re looking for the ultimate training tool to communicate with your canine, a modern low-level remote collar may be the ticket. This tool is frequently misunderstood so we’ve answered some of the most common questions to help abate misconceptions. While a bark collar works in a similar way, the remote collar allows for greater versatility and control.
